The sessions I attended at today’s conference were validating and will take me a while to digest (especially since I’m gearing up for edcampIS tomorrow). I’ll write about each session in the coming weeks.
My favorite speaker was John Hunter. He wasn’t there to promote his own World Peace Game. That was just background. He was there to remind us that we all make connections and relationships with students and sometimes, even if it feels like the worst day of your career, it may take 10 years or more to realize the difference you made in one person’s life. It was truly powerful stuff. Named “Most Influential TED Talk in 2011” by Arriana Huffington. His humility and trust he placed in his students spoke volumes. It was very inspiring.
