Have you ever received a word document and found that your version wouldn’t open the version you received. Then you had to download some sort of translation software, etc. What if we all had the same version? Google Docs released some collaborative features today that are pretty cool. Web software just keeps getting better and better. It allows you to save things outside your own hard drive or server freeing up space. Below is a quick video highlighting some of these new features. It’s a little challenging to change old habits, but google docs is simple and best of all – it’s free!
There’s a great resource (blog) called Free Tech for Teachers that highlights not only the many free web apps, but also items like the first episode of Planet Earth which you can download from itunes (for free!).
