I really enjoyed Ms. Huffington’s keynote today. She was realistic. we face tough times ahead. She was optimistic. It is in these times that there is plenty of opportunity.
Becoming fearless is not necessarily the absence of fear, but rather the mastery of it.
Personal, Professional, funny, realistic, she provided a great roadmap on becoming fearless. You can read a great summary of her keynote here.
She quoted Einstein, “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”
We need to build empathy for one another. And though all of us are never going to agree on the same things, social change for the better throughout history just needed critical mass. Start with a few and build.
I loved the optimism of Arianna in spite of the harsh realities we are currently faced with. For our students, we need to put “CHANGING THE WORLD” on their to do list. I’ve been visiting her blog, The Huffington Post for a few years now and it remains one of my favorites.
